Jacek Kot, MD, PhD (44) - a specialist in anaesthesiology and intensive care; a vice-chief of the National Centre for Hyperbaric Medicine in Gdynia, Poland.
From 2002 to 2005 - a Chairman of the COST B14 Action Working Group on Safety which prepared the “European Code of Good Practice for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy” (May 2004); since 2005 - a Secretary General of the European Committee for Hyperbaric Medicine (ECHM); member of the CEN TF 127 and CEN TC 359 which are preparing European norms for manufacturing and testing multiplace hyperbaric chambers for medical purposes; co-author of several chapters in the “Handbook on Hyperbaric Medicine” (Ed. D. Mathieu, Springer, 2006) and co-author of the “Nitrox Manual for Divers” (J. Kot, T. Zabierek, 2006, in Polish).
